Strange

Daddy's attempt at calming down a strangly crying baby. This has happened one time before, a few months ago. He woke up screaming crying a few nights ago but eyes closed...asleep. Most of his body is limp but he's crying.....FREAKY!!!!! I took him and rocked and walked with him and got him to wake up and he settled down some. I put him back in his crib and he started crying again so we put him in our bed for a few minutes to let him be calm...well...he wanted mommy but daddy was doing a great job trying to calm his little boy :) He finally was okay after about 20 minutes of cuddling so we put him back in his crib and he went right to sleep for the rest of the night. So strange!!!! I know about night terrors and dreaming but it's so strange that he's limp when this goes on!!!

1st time painting

Sooo cute she is!!!! Fix that sentence all you grammar people!! She's styling one of mommy's old shirts tied back with a clip. She started out with the paint brush....then we tried finger painting...it was fun and she loved it!!!!

She had to lean around her easle and tell the dogs to be quiet...apparently she needed to paint in peace :)

Love her hair...too cute in a high pony tail!

Finger painting...or as she calls it...ginger painting

Marveled by her fabulous artwork

All messy but havin' fun!!!

Watch out Uncle Joel...here comes Kenzie's artwork!!

Kidsview Blowout

Our church (Eastview) had a "kidsview blowout" inflatable fun time for the kids. Normally there's a fall picnic but this year this took its place. Kenzie had lots of fun and listened very well when the people in charge said her group's time was up :) We brought our lunch and ate on the grass with the Leesman family :)

They handed out FREE dilly bars to each person :)

To her right is a giant caterpillar to crawl thru...this scared her a lot...so she passed and went to one she liked.

Fun little obstacle course

A full shot of the inflatable fun from behind

Fantastival

On Labor Day weekend we went to the Fantastival at Grace Church in Normal. It was all FREE and they even fed you for FREE!!!! There were many inflatables, a petting zoo, games where you won candy, raffles for $25 gift cards for kids and adults, and a hot air balloon ride (it was tethered to the ground for the rides but read down below for more about it...)

Going up the inflatable "rock wall".....

Coming down the other side

She played the ducky game...just pick up a duck and you win :)

Enjoying his snack trap

another inflatable that had a ball pit and hoop

They put the hot air balloon up since the wind died down but they soon discovered it was still too windy....it was tethered to the ground for each ride up and down and there were too many trees on one side, so they took it back down and raffled off an actual ride for a later date.

She was soooo happy to have a balloon!!!

He kept crawling away and laughing when I tried taking his picture....On Labor Day weekend we went to 4 parks we had never been too, watched a parade and went to the free fantastival....it was quite the fun weekend!!!

Labor Day Parade

This is the LOUD steam engine that starts the Thresherman's Reunion Labor Day Parade in Pontiac...or should we call it the stupid tractor parade :) Grandma is helping Zach be excited about the very LOUD noise just like she did with Kenzie last year...it's worked both times so far!

Grandpa and Kenzie watching the millions of tractors go past....and waiting to dive into the streets when we see candy approaching!!!

Grandma Fulkerson and Zach patiently waiting for the amusement to start....

I wasn't able to get a picture of her waiting for candy but it was cute to see her run out and get some...I eventually just told her to go out and knock over a few kids and she'll get more :)

Hairbows Galore!!!

I love being crafty so I thought I'd make some hairbows...okay, so I have A LOT!! I can never find the colors I want....so I made a bunch! They are just put together in these pictures and I need to actually attach them...hence why some of the centers are off a bit....they're not attached yet. My plan is to put a ribbon backing on them so I can attach one of two different clips whenever I desire.....an alligator one or an actual clamp/clip....that way I can put them either directly in her hair or attach them to a headband or hat :) If you'd like one just let me know :)

Rowdy got a new sister :)

Rowdy came to play a few weeks ago while momma had his new little sister!!! He was rummaging thru the girly things trying to find one his sis may like :) The football cannot be thrown at her head....

Hmmm...maybe she needs some food.....Zach is helping in the all boy kitchen :)

Hmmm...these light up shoes are neat....

Kenzie's modeling them so Rowdy can make his decision....

This stroller is perfect to push her in!!

If I giggle real loud can little Ruby hear me????

She's here...really???!!!!
