Ladies Man

Kenzie 18 months

Home from her 18 month check-up...her stats are as follows:

Height: 33 1/2 inches (94%)

Weight: 27lbs 4oz (80%)

Head: 18 1/2 inches (65%)

Still very tall and has a smaller head....that's how we grow 'em!!! She did very good and the Dr. was yet again impressed with her verbal skills and all that she's doing.....including starting potty training :) Good job to my little girl!!!!!

Hottie

This is our mommy and she's the coolest mommy ever!!!!! Why else would we cry when she leaves for the store and only calm down when she returns????!!!!! Don't worry, we love daddy too....see his picture a few posts down with his proud ice moment :) (I think mommy just felt like posting a picture of herself for kicks and grins)

Big Girl

Forgot to post these awhile ago....she no longer sits in a high chair!!!! She's doing great at keeping the food in the bowl/plate and eating with utensils. When she's done she takes the food off the plate, puts it on the table and hands me the plate and says "all done." Cracks me up....hey, she cleaned her plate!!! We found that she sits way better at the table than in the high chair.....it's all ready for Zach now!!

Family

We went to Dan and Charity's for a playdate last week. Kenzie tried all sorts of new things....boy toys are far cooler!!!!! Trampoline in the basement and yummy playdough :) The older ones were playing with playdough while these two were happily lounging on the floor. Laina was being very nice in sharing her toys with Zach. Laina is 6 months but they're the same length.....we grow 'em long!!!!!

Potty Time

We've started an attempt at potty training...a slow attempt. She's gone from loving to play with the toilet for fun to running away if I put her on it to wanting to sit on her potty seat. I let her get used to it on her own terms first....she likes to sit on her little potty ring on the floor (neither Chris nor I are willing to clean out a potty so we chose the ring that fits over the toilet) :) I started taking her several times starting yesterday and today she's interested in it and runs to it if I tell her it's potty time and if she needs to go/or already went in her diaper. She's started to say potty and associates her diaper with the toilet and the word potty....we're going in the right direction!!! I can tell when she goes in her diaper and now right after she goes she says "potty"....so I know she's connecting things together. I'll be getting pull-ups this weekend and we'll go from there!!! I actually find this rather exciting :) She LOVES 3 muskateers (wonder why) and I can't wait to see her face when she actually goes on the potty and I pull out a small one from the cupboard!!! She usually runs to the kitchen if she hears the bag. It is true....training a child is a lot like training a dog....good thing I'm a trainer!!!!!

He's growin'

Zach's so interested in standing and sitting that we broke out the exersaucer a few days ago and he loves it!!! He can stand anytime he wants now!! Kenzie tries climbing in....even with Zach in it. He's very entertained by all the toys and doesn't really respond when you talk to him when he's in it.....sounds like a boy. He's in the thing a week earlier than Kenzie was :)

Ice

He was very proud of the icicle he found after work a few days ago...it fell in the snow and kept in once piece, there are several long ones hanging off our house.

Crib time!!!!

this is one reason why he's not in his crib at night (and no, he's not in my room either)....kenzie's a VERY light sleeper and well...look at the space between the cribs (the other walls are windows)!!!! he still wakes up about 3-4 times at night...only once to eat but wakes her up a lot anyways. he naps in there during the day though. soon enough i'll start putting him in there at night and just deal with it but wanted him to sleep thru the night first...well...i'm just gonna suck it up and lose more sleep for a while again. he wakes her up in the morning usually anyways......so here we go!!!

Ummm....mommy had to come to the rescue as she shoved him off her lap with a little giggle....

She really does like him though...without asking, she gives him lots of hugs and kisses...this is her giving him a hug :)
