We went to the Dr. Seuss storytime this morning at Target. It was neat. The kids all got little reusable shopping bags with goodies in them and LOTS of stories read to them! Kenzie and Zach traded off who sat on my lap. Daddy shopped for part of it then corraled Zach and gave him snacks :) Notice there is a person sitting to my left? That's a grade school friend, Stacy "Crawford" Eilts. It's so fun to still be in touch with childhood friends!!!! Oh, and yes, it was strangely in the swimsuit section on the ladies side.
We went to visit the CARS characters at State Farm on Friday evening. Since State Farm is a sponsor of this movie, they had 3 of the characters on display. Lightening McQueen was at Corporate South, Finn and Tow Mater were at Corporate.
Trying to get Zach to stand still....he's too jittery....even Kenzie was trying to hold his hand :)
Lightening McQueen
Running with daddy down the LONG corridors under Corporate South to get some energy out....I didn't need to run....my energy was already out!!!
Finn.....I realized after the fact that my flash needed to be off.
Tow Mater
Finn
Kenzie was most intruiged by the "blue car" as she called it.
Okay Uncle Joel...you may drool now....if you lived closer we would have taken you too!!!
He's now at the table with the rest of us...instead of a high chair :) Since we've moved the eating back to the dining room, there's more room at the table. The spot we used to eat at in the kitchen is now the office.
They've always enjoyed brushing their teeth....but now it's far more fun when the toothbrush moves around for you!!!! Zach enjoys using it to help his teething too :) Of course....his is Thomas the train and hers is Hello Kitty.
Kenzie and I went to church on Sunday and left these two yahoo's at home since Zach was in a mood and we don't know why. He couldn't be put down and I didn't wish him upon any nursery worker. We got out of the shower to find this....daddy and Zach asleep...really!!!??? Ummm...no....he was supposed to keep him up so he takes a longer afternoon nap....it would help if daddy wasn't tired too...it's called sit up or get off the couch and move around!!!! There, I feel better now....can't complain too much since the napped helped the little guy.
Helping daddy bring down her new bed from the attic.
Little man wanted in on the action too :)
Her new sheets were in the dryer but she was still soooo excited to go down for naptime!!! notice the end of the bed, there's 3 little heads sticking out...this is how she sleeps with her dollies :) This full bed engulfs her and don't worry...the desk will come out and things will be switched around but for now, it's in the rightful room!!!
Happy with her new sheets...she picked them out...and ready for bedtime!!!
This was last Saturday when the house was a disaster from starting to clear out the attic and garbage that needed to be tossed....needless to say, this was one of the only open spots in the house!!! We had a little picnic dinner and watched It's a Bugs Life.
Makenzie helped me make the cake for daddy for valentine's day. i quickly ice it due to time and the kids yelling at me to eat all the frosting. It was yummy and daddy was happy for a treat all his own!!!
Stole this first picture from Jenni's blog since my camera died shortly before.
We had a small Valentine's party for the kids yesterday. They decorated little valentines and frosted cookies....well...more like ate the cookie then the frosting :) They had fun!
Jenni and Rowdy
Kenzie carefully planning where to put the icing....after each bite :)
Zach was happy to eat it all!
Tara and Jayden
Zach....he's wanting down....Jayden, Rowdy, Kenzie, Ruby :) Our group is growing!!!!
Snow drifts on the side of the house. Good thing the neighbor's grandson doesn't move in until the 19th!!!! That means we can still park in the drive :) Thank goodness for that right now!!
Sledding down the drifts...there were several around the house.
Zach was soooo anxious to go play, he was giggling the whole time I was getting him ready :) Both kids LOVE the snow!!!!
Helping daddy clean off the car....he was so interested in all of the manly work and when our neighbor brought over his snowblower, Zach was thrilled.
See!!!! Mommy is outside too....the only place to be after a blizzard...playing in it with your kids!!!! Gotta love that I'm wearing one of Makenzie's hats since I don't think I left mine at the shelter when I stopped working.
Ignore Zach's pink gloves...he has some but they leak water when playing in the snow...these are Kenzie's from last year and she's wearing his snowpants for next year :) Who cares...it works!!!
Zach is trying to help shovel while Kenzie was going all over the place in excitement.
She's climbing the mounds in the backyard.
Thank you to our neighbor for helping shave off a few hours of shoveling!!!!!
